Very down-to-earth, makes it easier to trust and open up to. Knows what to ask, when to ask, how to say it. Makes sure you understand and are in agreement with any treatment plan. More invovled than just medications, encouraged to look at behaviour patterns, etc... Listens if you say something isn't working. Provides good quality care, and seems to actually care if paitent is making progress.

Dr. Santoro saved my life. After years of being fearful of psychiatrists due to a childhood trauma, Dr. Santoro made me trust again. Through talk therapy and medication he made my life liveable. He is completely trustworthy, reliable, attentive and truly makes you feel like he cares about your well-being.

I found that Dr. Santoro to be excellent. He was careful and worked hard to find the "right" diagnosis. I had been misdiagnosed for years! I felt like he really cared about me and my well being. He treated me like a person not an illness. For the first time in a long time I feel like I'm on the right track. I would highly recommend him!

Very friendly and on time seeing you. Unfortunately it ends there. After I met with him for the first time (for an hour), I was 'diagnosed' with ADD and a prescription wrote. It didn't help, and subsequent meetings, the same. New 'guesses' and more prescriptions recommended to confirm/dismiss the 'diagnosis'. I stupidly stopped breast feeding because I really believed from his optisism that we'd find what was wrong through the process of elimination... He told me he wouldn't give up on me and he did. None of the pills worked so he didn't know what else to do.... I'm still struggling with depression that's not as managable as it once was, and now live with guilt for the choice I made to quit breast feeding. I don't recommend him at all.
