Dr. Denis V. Kanhai (no practice address). On November 29, 2010, the Discipline Committee, found that Dr. Kanhai committed an act of professional misconduct, in that he has been found guilty of an offence that is relevant to his suitability to practise; and he has failed to maintain the standard of practice of the profession. The findings relate to two separate incidents, the first in 2003 and the second a criminal conviction in 2007. On August 20, 2003, a 13-year-old patient and her mother attended on Dr. Kanhai for suture removal. After removing the sutures, Dr. Kanhai performed a medically unnecessary breast examination on the patient, which failed to meet the standard of practice of the profession. On August 16, 2006, a patient attended at Dr. Kanhai's medical clinic for the purpose of having a physician sign her diet forms in support of her claim for a diet allowance. Without consent or medical justification, Dr. Kanhai put his hand down her bra and manipulated her breast and nipple. On or about November 9, 2007, Dr. Kanhai was found guilty of one count of sexual assault contrary to the Criminal Code in relation to this incident. In light of his resignation and undertaking never to practise medicine in any jurisdiction, to be posted on the College’s public register, the Committee ordered Dr. Kanhai to pay costs to the College in the amount of $3,650 and the results of this proceeding are to be included on the College’s public register.

DrKanhai is an was a very good doctor,i believe there are people out there that are haters an purposly try to sobatage people who are doing good.....its fine...there is a god ....I hope peace finds him within this accusation.
