Dr. Weigens addicted my mother to Clonazepam for 10 years, then recently sloughed her off to a neurologist who put her, at the age of 83, in an unmonitored cold turkey. (Anything up to 6 weeks is considered thus with the benzos.) She is now going through a harrowing, harrowing benzo withdrawl, initially having no idea what that excruciating pudendal neuralgia was all about. She went to the clinic to try to get some relief, even though Weigens had disappeared for the summer. She was in such pain she couldn't sit down and waited outside whereupon one of the clinic's patients jumped the curb with her car and broke my mother's arm. At the hospital nobody cared about her "neuralgia". She lies at home now, can't eat, swallow, talk, move, her arm in a cast, in deep physical and pychological pain. If you read this, dear doctor, she needs a valium reinstatement to stabilize so that she can eat and sleep and then a YEAR LONG TAPER. She does not need Emerg., she was in the hospital and they did nothing. Please send her that damn perscription. If you suggest she go anywhre it will send her off the deep end. DO NOT mention me if you call, if you do I will sue.
