I have never had a problem with Dr. Strydom himself, as he is always courteous, informative, and genuinely interested in me as a patient. If there is a problem, it is with the wait time to get to see Dr. Strydom which is not his fault, as the Vegreville Clinic has only half the doctors on staff that it should have. This problem lies with the government of Alberta who acknowledges the problem with doctor shortages but is not doing enough to alleviate it. There needs to be an active recruiting program going on that pruduces results, rather than simply promising them and the province of Alberta has yet to step up to the plate. They are great at talking the talk but they are pathetic when it comes to walking the walk.
