On my appointment date for a colonoscopy neither she or her office made the appropriate arrangements with the hospital so I had to wait for over an hour for the hospital to find her and set things up. She had difficulty in insurtion of the scope with even greater difficulty moving it around especially at the curve of the colon. On three occasions other attendees in the room said to get someone else in to assist and she refused. They said you are hurting him. She did not seem to care. Finally she agreed to call another doctor in but before they could assist she gave one last hard push and the scope made the turn. However she could not get it all the way to the end of the colon and gave up. She later in recovery admitted that a MRI may be in order to view the parts of the colon missed. Upon a follow up visit she claimed that since nothing of importance was found in the rest of the colon a MRI would not be scheduled. I found her attitude to be extremely unprofessional for she claimed the only reason the colonoscopy could not be completed was I was to sensitive to the pain. I have a very high tolerance to pain it was her incompetence and lack of consideration for her patient that created the situation. She was very surprised that I remembered what went on during the procedure. Doctors seem to count on that fact and they presume that the medication given will either knock you out or at the very least take away your ability to remember the abuse that goes on during the procedure. I definitely would NOT recommend Dr. Mihalicz to anyone looking for a general surgeon to perform any sort of medical procedure. I found her utter arrogance and inability to admit to failure to be the reason for my lack of respect. Just because someone has a medical licence does not mean they are proficient at their jobs.

Lies to patients. Says one thing to patient, then her own medical report says a different story (goes to the family physician). Refuses to admit to mistakes and takes zero accountability for negative consequences. Does not investigate in an appropriate time. Relies too much on residents. Very arrogant and very negligent. Please consider a different surgeon.
