Recently my 95-yr old mother was a patient at the Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga. Dr. Di Prizito was her attending physician for most of her stay(2 wks). He was kind and attentive to her and kept me abreast of her progress and treatments in a way that was clear and understandable. In the past I have encountered doctors whose manners were brusque and condescending. Dr. Di Prizito, on the other hand, addressed my concerns tactfully and compassionately.

Dr Diprizito is the attending Dr for my father who is a terminally ill 4th stage pancreatic cancer patient. This doctor is extremely arrogant pushy inconsiderate and has a pompous demeanor. Absolute disregard for well-being of patient, proceeded to raise his voice and throw a tantrum in front of my father resulting in my father having and anxiety attack due to stress. He refused to leave the room to engage in a civil conversation and became irrate when we asked for results of a blood test so we could provide results to my father's regular internist. . He refused to provide printouts and behaved resistant to answering valid questions put forth by family in order to provide proper outpatient care post release from hospital. Any medical doctor should have the common sense decency and intelligence to at least step away from the patient IF they are incapable of conducting themselves in a peaceful and mature method of communication. Legally EVERY patient has the RIGHT to ask for a second opinion along with a RIGHT to obtain a copy of their medical records to share with their general practioner. This Dr has an ego problem and becomes defensive uncooperative and extremely inconsiderate of the effects of his conduct upon an already sick patient who is in the last stages of his life. How dare a doctor break the hypocratic oath they swear to abide by which specifically obligated then to put their patients well being and health FIRST ..above their EGOS ...digusted
