Steve - ACL reconstruction
If you are looking for an orthopedic surgeon to hold your hand, console you and give you that warm fuzzy feeling - then look elsewhere. If you want a surgeon who is up-to-date with latest techniques, no BS attitude, extremely confident in his abilities, tells you straight the deal by minimizing small talk and willing to work with you to accomplish your needs - look no further. Dr Raynor is simply one of the best technicians there is, that's why his patient list is so long and includes athletes from weekenders to semi-pro. He may not remember your kids' names, but does remember the most minute detail of your issues, surgery and recovery. What's most important to you? If your appointments and schedules are screwed up, its the fault of the staff trying to keep up with him - not him. Just listen carefully because he will tell you every detail you need to know, but is not likely to repeat it unless you ask. By far, one of the most efficient and effective specialists I have come across in Eastern Ontario. Consider yourself lucky to have him working your case!

I truly appreciated the consultations and care I received from Dr. Raynor prior to, during, and after surgery. He was always professional, friendly, and informative on what I needed to correct the problem and he performed the surgery as outlined with success.

hobbling Steve
This is the ONE YEAR anniversary of my injury. I saw him initially when he asked for an MRI- then a second time when he said I needed surgery. Since the I haven't seen him and the clinic he works out of (in Gatineau!?) cancelled me three times, twice with no notice-I called the day before and he said the surgery was cancelled. The third time it was cancelled and only adressed when my employer called to find out WTF was going on.The co-ordinator at the clinic sounds like he needs some vitamins or pep pills and isn't overly concerned that my life has been on hold for A YEAR! When I questioned this he became defensive and abrupt and proceeded to tell me about HIS knee injury when he was a firefighter! What a bunch of unprofessional clowns! I'm in Cornwall too so try getting through to his receptionist in Ottawa-he has one in Cornwall that repeatedly said she didn't know anything whenever I called for info. Disgraceful, I've asked my GP for a referral to another doctor and am awaiting an appointment.

Dr. Raynor recently operated on my shoulder and I have nothing but good things to say about him. During my consults he was very polite, informative and professional. If people perceive him as being arrogant or cocky...... they seriously need to get their head ckecked, he is a very competent and confident surgeon. He did an amazing job on my shoulder and I have no problem with commending him on a job well done. He gets two thumbs up in my book, thank you Dr. Raynor!
