Dr. Whetter is extremely caring, professional and compassionate, to name a few. She takes the time to address all issues and concerns and ensures effective treatment. I am very fortunate to have her as my palliative doctor. She is one of the best doctor I’ve ever had. She goes over and above the call of duty. In my opinion, she’s a 10+. The second I met Dr. Whetter I knew I was in good hands. I also instantly realized that a doctor who has chosen to become a palliative care physician has an entirely different perspective to that of an oncologist (meant to cure). I came myself to see Dr. Whetter because my husband was in too much pain to make the appointment. The second she saw me she understood the stress I was under and cared about that. She also read my husband's chart and through this was able to make an estimate as to how much time he might have and determined that it would be best for us both that he be brought into care. She did not hesitate but moved fast to find him a bed and followed up to make sure that an ambulance could be called so that he could be transported immediately to the hospital. Her diligence, determination to follow up and her kindness made an enormous difference to me and to my state of mind.

I am incredibly lucky to have Dr. Whetter as my doctor. She is extremely competent, caring, thoughtful, kind, professional, supportive, understanding and patient. My journey through the world of cancer has been unimaginable but Dr. Whetter has been, and continues to be beside me, and my family every step of the way.
