Diagnosed with aggresive non-hodgkin's lymphoma in 2005, I was 54 years old. Started with typical chemo for 8 months, with some radiation - and seem to work. But after 4 months the cancer came back. With advise from oncology team, headed by Dr. Kouroukis, I was able to enter a medical trial program, in 2006, and eventually get a stem cell transplant. Although it was a heck of an ordeal to go through, the result was positive. I'm still here as of Feb. 2016. With much thanks to Dr. Kouroukis and his team at the Juravinski Cancer Clinic.
