as a result of this doctor not prescribing antibiotics prior to my husbands bypass surgery, when he knew he had bilateral knee replacements, my husband after many infections and surgeries, and a 2nd revision to his left knee, has had to have his leg amputated. I sincerely hope, he has changed his mind on his belief that the body will take care of itself.

As I sit at my husbands bedside, in Barrie hospital, trying to find the words to tell him he may need amputation of his leg, because of infection that occurred after his bypass surgery, because Dr. Peniston said he didn't need antibiotics with bilateral knee replacements, after 5 surgeries I can't help but wonder if he's still telling people that, and I felt compelled to write this, before I change my mind again..9/6/2011
