She is very arrogant and very dismissive of the patient issues. Her assessments are based on quick judgement, and personal size up, she is self absorbed and focused on her time not patient care.. She seems in a hurry to get rid of you, and makes you jump through hoops to see her. She asked me to come back to see her in a year, I just phoned and was told I had to go through my GP for a referral....I informed her assistant indicating that Dr. Geenen told me to come back in a year, and my situation is much worse...but "not" to my surprise I got a phone call back after Dr. Geenen was relayed this information saying that I still needed a referral. The problem with this type of Dr. is that their arrogance and self importance has clouded their patient care. I'd give anything to see someone like her, get sick and be treated the way she treats her patients. Unfortunately there are a number of specialist like her, hopefully you can find someone different.

Epilepsy patient since 2006

Dr. Geenen, in my opinion, is very good. She has a friendly but professional bed side manner and is very punctual. She must actually schedule her patients accordingly (rare!) Her clinic is run very well. Phones are always answered or calls always returned. The quality of her care is genuine.
