I found this physician condescending and rude. She flat out yells at her patients in front of others and seems to take pleasure in humiliating others. She is challenging and disrespectful. I have no doubt that she is highly educated and SEEMINGLY sympathetic at first, but she quickly changes and takes pleasure in making her patients feel isolated during group sessions. I have almost walked out of her group several times because of the way she treats the group members. When I first started her groups I was advised by others that her 'nick name' is "Dr.DEMONIC" and although I didn't understand or agree initially...I certainly do now. She is power hungry and enjoys her positon where her patients have no choices and she has all the control. She is ALWAYS late and frequently leaves sessions and groups to take personal calls on her cell phone. I have no choice but to stay with her for now but I am currently seeking other physicians and/or programs to help me with my problems. Dont believe her initial facade as she portrays a caring person who is 'on your side'. She is not. I firmly believe that SHE has a personality disorder and forgets that she was once a drug addict as well.

IN RECOVERY
A great doctor. Knows everything about addiction meds. Caring and easy to talk to. Stay with her program and your recovery will be easy to manage.

I wish not to list my name here on the internet but feel free to contact me at 705 229 4380 for more information. I was a patient of hers and she was arrogant in her behaviour, unwilling to listen, rude in her comments and ineffective in her treatment for patients in special circumstances needing help. I am extremely upset with her conduct while in her care and will be reporting her to the head of the mental health department. I cannot remember the last time i met such an unprofessional "professional".

Emily
I was referred to her for help with my addiction and mental health. I had other factors that should have been taken into account but she always dismissed anything I had to say and kept calling me an addict. Would not give me any options besides getting clean on my own, and joining her day rehab which would not have worked for me. Got nowhere fast so I sought out other options, and have had the best care from CAMH. As it turned out I had thyroid cancer which was playing a big role on why I was mentally and physically unwell and self medicating. Maybe she should listen to her patients and not give the same diagnosis and treatment for each one. Everybody is different. Worst care I have ever received.
