I love Dr Joffe! She is very knowledgeable, always helpful, very easy to talk to!! My 17 year old son, my 20 year old daughter and I all love her! She knows her "stuff" and is very thorough, and will refer you to a specialist if necessary! I was referred to her by a friend who also thinks very highly of her!

Dr Joffe has chosen to follow Canada Health guidelines VERY strictly - meaning she allows only 15 minutes per visit. This means she is almost always on time, but quite unhelpful in diagnosing anything more complex than the common cold. She also seems quite limited in her ability to refer to knowledgeable and effective specialists. In addition, Dr Joffe's office reception is rude, inefficient, and almost always in a bad mood.

Switching GPs
I've been a patient of Dr.Joffe for years and have become increasingly frustrated with her practice. As a doctor she is rushed and often does not listen, instead prescribing what she feels is 'right' according to Western medicine. One example is my request for a non-hormonal form of birth control yet somehow I still left with a prescription that included hormones. Further research showed this product/company has a class action lawsuit out against them. I'm sure Dr. Joffe means well but I have left more than once feeling like I was rushed out, my concerns were not properly addressed and back to square one without any real answers. I'd give her a pass.

A disappointed patient
I have been a patient with Dr. Joffe for many, many years and have become more disappointed with her practice in recent years. I have had very good health throughout my life and have rarely seen Dr. Joffe other than my yearly checkups and was always satisfied with my visits as Dr. Joffe was always thorough. Things have changed. I now found that she has this time limit, you feel rushed and she seems to dismiss my concerns with some health challenges that I am currently dealing with. Over the last few years I have had some medical concerns which I have discussed with her, her response has been one of unconcern. I feel that my concerns are being dismissed, that I feel rushed and that she does not provide any helpful suggestions or possible solutions other than at times her responses are ““well that just part of getting older” which I refuse to accept. On occasion I have requested some tests to relieve my concerns, these test are fairly basic in nature and I get excuses as to why I cannot have this done including stating “well things have changed with health guidelines”. I do not understand what this has to do with my needs. Now when I need the system to help me I am not getting the necessary support from her. I have always listen to my body and taken good care of myself as my health is important to me especially as I am getting older. It is about quality of life and preventive measures. I should be able to work with my doctor and feel confident that she has my best interest at heart.

I rarely have to wait for my appointment. She's very efficient and honest. Dr Joffe takes the initiative to stay on top of my test results and calls me to make sure that I have any follow-up care that's needed.
