Dr Gagnon was our doctor for many years. He is the best. Alberta should have more like him.

Dr. Gagnon has been my family doctor for 15+ years and I have always recieved excellent care from him. If he ever did not know the answer he has reffered me to a specialist that did. He treats me not just like a patient but also as a friend, I believe he truly cares. I would recommend him to anyone.

My girlfriend just visited the "doctor", if he deserves to be called that for migraines and flu symptoms. he chalked it up to stress with no tests other than to take her blood pressure, as she is in university. He repeatedly made comments such as "I would rather be in prison and be raped every day than go to f*cking university" or my favourite "It would be much easier to slit your wrists, lay in a tub, bleed out and die." He was informed that she was on medication for depression prior to the above remark, which was made more than once. He also said it was ok for her to take meds such as Tylonol and Ibeproufin when several other medical professionals have cautioned this as it might cause intestinal bleeding. He disregarded any helpful information given and stood rigid in his assumption that it was nothing but stress. I may be wrong but I dont think recommending suicide to a patient, especially a depressed one, is a suitable course of action.

I have an inbred dislike of doctors in general. I find that most enjoy talking down to their patients and thinking themselves above reproach and criticism. It is rare indeed to find a Doctor that respects your intelligence and can interact with a manor that is straight forward, honest, and at the same time caring. I believe Bernard to be of that ilk and deserving of all the accolades I can bestow, for what my opinion is worth. The straight shooters are hard to find and he deserves all my respect.
