Had a bad bout of acute pancreatitis plus a gall bladder full of Stones which blocked my bile duct. He was an emergency doctor at the time. He is very knowledgeable, always had a smile and always answered the questions I had when I had to go through TWO procedures in the hospital. He has the respect of his fellow doctors and staff at the hospital. I noticed that Dr. Steve Gallinger, my surgeon at the time, and his boss, knows that Ashton is a capable doctor.

arrogant with poor bedside manner. Has "god-complex" as if he is doing the patient an favour on his time.

Though a resident at the time, he took our fears away with his unusual brand of humour and good wit, something I imagine works wonders in the emergency of a children's hospital. After promising us that he would try to not lose a mint in my son's body cavity, he went on to perform an excellent surgery and followup in the room afterwards. I think he is the most promising doctor to have come along in a long time.

Dr. Connor was the physician on duty at TGH the night my father became ill, a few days after having whipple surgery. The diagnosis of an internal leak was made almost immediately (possibly in conjunction with another surgeon) but Dr. Connor stated he didn't think it was serious, and decided to defer a scan until the following day. Approximately six hours later, my father was suffering from septic shock. Dr. Connor simply attributed this to 'bad luck'. This 'bad luck' led to a series of complications and setbacks which kept my father in hospital another three months until his premature passing. The pain and suffering my father, not to mention our family, endured during this time, and the family endures to this day is unbearable. It's hard to give a Dr. a favorable rating when the consequences of his inaction have been so catastrophic for our family.
