My best advice for you in regards to this "doctor" is to RUN AWAY as fast as you can! She is completely uncaring, unempathetic, haughty and arrogant, and becomes very angry if you dare to question her diagnosis or prescribed medications. She discharged me from her care without ever referring me to someone else. Her awful treatment of me left me in worse shape than I was when I first stepped into her office. She deserves to have her license revoked.

Dr. Anjana Chawla if you can even call that thing a Doctor is rude, arrogant, self absorbed and inconsiderate. On a visit to her office she spent most of the time discussing how her and her husband were planning on buying property in Jamaica with careless disregard as to the reason why I was in her office. That being said she has dangerous prescribing practices and will often prescribe multiple medications which are clearly dangerous to be taken together. Watch what this overprescribing Doctor gives you, you could land up on a mortician's table. She is incompetent and does not qualify to hold a licence in this field. Please seek help from any other Doctor but this one, your health and life may depend on it.

I explained to Dr Chawla I have allergies to psychotropics and was awarded a settlement from ELi Lilly for Zyprexa. Dr Chawla refused to listened forced security to inject me with psychotropics. I almost died many times under her care at Soliders Memorial. My parents refused to take me back. My new psychiatrist is kind, considerate, and most of all compassionate to his patients. Dr Chawla needs to go back to school her education in modern day Psychiatry and treatments is changing and Dr Chawla operates like its medieval times and she is the queen.

"Dr" Chawla is not only a horrible psychiatrist/therapist but also a horrible person. My daughter and I saw her for the first and LAST time on Nov 22nd 2016 and it was the worst experience we have ever had with any "professional". She asked strange questions and would cut me off before having a chance to fully answer, kept looking at the clock, twisted my words and threw absurd, inappropriate and disgusting accusations at me as a mother. When I called her out on her behaviour she became hostile, throwing more accusations my way as well as threats. A few hours later CAS and a bunch of police were at my door. Chawla told them that I should not be the primary caregiver of my tween daughter. The CAS workers were very sweet and kind to us and do not believe this to be the case. I have written one other Chawla review thus far and have made a formal complaint with the hospital. This experience traumatized my daughter when all I wanted was for her to have someone to talk to. I don't think she will trust anyone in this field again and that is sad. Chawla needs to be removed from her position and sent to the mailroom or something. I should have done my research prior to deciding whether to encounter her disgusting presence or not, regardless of the fact that our Doctor referred us. She is evil and should not have access to people with mental health issues. 10 thumbs down and 2 middle fingers up to you, Chawla.
