I was over prescribed psychiatric medications from ages 14-17 by Dr. Sanchez. My mom first noticed something was wrong when everytime I would have an appointment, a new medication was added to my regimen without ever discontinuing any of them. This reaked complete havoc on my growing brain and resulted in serotonin syndrome amongst multiple withdrawal syndromes from which I still suffer the aftereffects (over 7 years later). Please - DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. I thought I didn't have to because I was under the care of a medical specialist after all. Everything you are prescribed - research the drug yourself as well as possible interactions with other drugs you may be taking. I was wrong to assume that this would be looked after for me and I will probably be suffering the consequences for the rest of my life. If I can help one person, it's worth it.

Saw her at Kirkwood at the age of 14 where she began overprescribing insane amounts of SSRIs + SNRIs + benzodiazepines + MAOIs and eventually stimulants all at the same time, all reaking havoc in my developing brain. And then suddenly at the end of one of my appointments, I was told not to reschedule because my time was up. NO plan for discharge, aftercare, no refills, just an incredible feeling of being dumped by your own doctor after being taken for the psychoactive ride of your life. I will never be the same thanks to this total violation of trust not only to me, but to my mother who had to watch her kid go through this. You shouldn't have to question the specialist. But in this case, please, please do. Arm yourself with knowledge. This stupid experience has altered the ENTIRE recourse of my life.
