Hi! My name is Aldo Colangelo. Yesterday, Thursday, May 9, 2013, my wife, Carmen, saw dr Alexander Birnbaum in his office, 3M03, at St Joseph Health Centre, in Etobicoke, Metro Toronto. I had to be with her because of her great difficulties in walking. Carmen had to use a wheelchair I had to push. Dr A. Birnbaum was very helpful, gentle and considerate, from the first moment to the end of our meeting. He is a patient and understanding gentleman. We felt at home with him because, as Latin European and/or Mediterranean cultures bearers, we need the emotional & social support in addition to the professional one. We were extremely pleased by dr Alexander approach to Carmen's health problem and want to thank him, and his staff, for the way he received us. Bless you, dr Alexander Birnbaum. I've been having a health issue for the last 8 years. During these years, I've seen doctors in 3 countries, which is more than enough to have a very strong comparative system beside knowing very well technical details of my own situation. This being said, I share you all of you my most sincere advice: if you value your time or health, get yourself another doctor. This gentleman who calls himself a doctor, is the most offensive prove of incompetence I've ever seen in Canada. In fact, he lives in a 50 years old reality when we went to school, and doesn't uses any medical equipment nor computers. I went to my "neurosurgeon appointment" with all MRIs and he didn't even had a computer to see them nor was interested to read various reports. His "diagnostic" was given "by the ear", after of course we recorded my presence for the appointment in order for him to steal the OHIP payment. Now I must wait other few month to see a real doctor. Make yourself a favour and do what is best for you.
