Concerned
My fiance went in to see Dr. Daabak now that he is working at the South Muskoka Medical Centre in Bracebridge Ontario. She went in to see him a week ago prior to this visit about posably having a miscarrage. But just these last few days she has been feeling movement in her stomache and a hard lump. This visit to him he had her do a urine test for pregnancy. After dipping the test strip it came out yellow (which to my knowledge means pregnant) He stared at it like it owed him money or something and then proceded to take UN STARILE paper towel and wipe the strip and proceed to dip the strip a second time. The second time it came out with a little bit of red on it and he told my fiance that the lump was nothing to worry about and that the movements she was feeling was all in her head. (Basically called her crazy right to her face). We are currently seeking a new doctor and I advise any of his other patience that read this to do so as well as I feel his is incompotent regarding his job. After finding a new doctor if he/she tells us that she is indeed pregnant we will be seeking legal action against him to have his doctors license revoked.

Upset and Betrayed
On Sept 21, 2010 I called the Wilson Street Medical Clinic in Hamilton to make an appointment with Dr Daabak, only to learn that he has LEFT TOWN to pursue a new position in Muskoka, Ontario. He did not notify his patients that he would be leaving, which is misconduct according to the Medicine Act (7.ii & 7.iii). He did not give his patients sufficient time (rather ANY time!) to find alternative resources in his absence. This behaviour is appalling and I have filed a complaint with the College of Physicians and Surgeons. I hope that he receives appropriate discipline for his actions.
