What is Ulcerative Colitis? Inflammation in the colon. What do you use to measure inflammation? Sed Rate. We asked her, what the sed rate is every day. She says, "I refuse to collect the sed rate because, studies have shown that it is not related to UC" We asked, what process are you taking to know the patient is on the road to recovery. She replies, "What ever she writes down in a log about her stool."

She is a "very good" doctor from my experience. She is very caring and very understanding. She and the hospital staff made my colonoscopy experience so much easier and more comfortable. This type of website is very biased. For every bad comment and experience, there is probably many more positive experience that does not make to this comment section.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lau's since 2010. She literally saved my life. I hit gold when I went to the Emergency Ward at Markham Stouffville Hospital in May of 2010. I feel very fortunate to have her in my life. The most caring doctor I have even been to.

She does not take our experience / opinions / concerns in to consideration. She does not provide helpful information in regards to medication, or improvement plan. She does whatever she wants. She gets frustrated too easily. She has no plan.
